“The Urania Astronomical Society of Berlin presented scientific lectures and demonstrations that ran for nearly 100 performances at Carnegie Hall in 1892 and 1893. The spectacles displays recreated eclipses of the sun as seen from the moon, the evolution of the earth, and several of America’s most beautiful natural locations using the most modern lighting, design, photography and special effects of the day.” (Source: Courtesy of Carnegie Hall Archives)
